About The Position

The Large Format Digital Print Operator is responsible for operating equipment, pre-press with some graphic design and finishing assistance. Since this position serves as a liaison between customers and our production team, excellent customer service skills are necessary. This is a fast-paced environment, and the scope of work includes: clarifying product details, establishing priorities, expediting production workflow, ordering required materials and completing maintenance and troubleshooting for equipment (EFI Pro 30f, Vutek h5, and Colex Sharpcut SXX1732). Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary, as is the ability to meet deadlines and share knowledge on techniques and processes. This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however, there is a close working relationship with the staff in several departments to ensure that all details are fulfilled as shown on customer's order.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Large Format Digital Print Operator
Proficiency in Firey and Adobe Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to engage frequently with peers
Basic math and unit conversion skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking skills
High School diploma required
Experience with Large Format Printers is a must
Experience working with graphics
Previous work experience in the field or in a related area
Experience with Adobe Suite and other graphics programs
Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Fiery
Willingness to follow processes, safety standards and policies

Responsibilities

Operating and maintaining wide format printing equipment to produce high-quality prints and graphics
Collaborating with design and production teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects
Knowing and complying with all safety features and safety rules
Showing and demonstrating a quality-conscious attitude
Demonstrated good housekeeping skills
Preparing files for printing
Operating and maintaining large format printer to the fullest extent of output capabilities
Proactively working with maintenance, supervision and other large format employees to ensure optimum machine maintenance and efficiency
Evaluating output and making adjustments to obtain a desired level of image quality
Troubleshooting problems that occur during job submission or the printing process
Understanding and executing custom finishing requirements
Effectively operating a CNC cutter / router and keen cut tools
Monitoring and managing material usage to allocated quantities
Clarifying product details
Establishing priorities
Expediting production workflow
Ordering required materials
Completing maintenance and troubleshooting for equipment (EFI Pro 30f, Vutek h5, and Colex Sharpcut SXX1732)
