Digital Press Operator, Online Large Format (Nights)
About The Position
The Bernard Group is a 100% employee-owned visual merchandising company leading the retail industry in design and production. They are looking for a Digital Press Operator to join their Online Large Format team. This is described as a clean, fun, and demanding environment. The role involves reviewing electronic customer files and layouts, ensuring prepress operations are completed, printing files according to specifications, and performing daily press maintenance. Printing experience is appreciated but not required. The company emphasizes working with sustainable materials sourced from eco-friendly partners that support social change and community involvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Pay close attention to details on every project
- Basic computer skills, including Pace and Google
- Self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
- Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work
- Ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively
- Complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting company quality standards
- Apply effective time management and self-management skills
- Understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information

Nice To Haves
- Printing experience is appreciated
- Production experience preferred
- Sharp eye for detail/quality
- Experience operating small or large format press equipment, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that files and layouts contain the necessary components, and have been signed off by the designer and prepress operations to ensure quality file resolution.
- Prepare and check files to assure that they are printable.
- Ensure files are imposed and stepped up to maximize yield of specified substrate and print device.
- Print files once all quality checks have been completed in accordance to the specifications on the job ticket.
- Follow all TBG protocols and procedures according to Company standards.
- Perform miscellaneous projects and tasks as requested by management.
