Caterpillar’s Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) has an exciting position for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Accountant supporting the C175 Engine & Power Systems platform. This role will provide direct support to the Product / Engineering Director and their team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business and/or 4+ years equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Adapts financial analysis methods to support organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Explains the organization's business model.
  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic partner to product engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams
  • Lead medium to high complexity NPI / New Supplier Introduction (NSI) financial analysis
  • Assess & identify customer profitability opportunities
  • Research & Engineering (R&E) analysis & support
  • Support & develop Analytics Center of Excellence (ACOE) resources
  • Ad hoc project leadership
