About The Position

Dunnville Veterinary Clinic, founded in 1952 and part of Vetcor since 2023, is seeking an experienced large animal veterinarian. The role is primarily dairy-focused, involving herd health management, preventative care, reproductive work, pregnancy checks, and on-farm procedures. The clinic serves a well-established agricultural community along the Grand River in Dunnville, ON, offering a rewarding, boots-on-the-ground role with a loyal dairy client base. The ideal candidate will be confident, hands-on, enjoy working closely with producers, and be comfortable working independently in a farm setting.

Requirements

Experienced large animal veterinarian
Strong foundation in dairy cattle medicine and herd health
Comfortable working independently in a farm setting
Confident in routine and emergency large animal procedures
Interest in becoming a trusted partner to producers in the community

Responsibilities

Primarily dairy-focused large animal medicine, with some equine and small ruminant care
Herd health management and preventative care
Reproductive work, pregnancy checks, and on-farm procedures
Building long-term relationships with local producers
Farm calls supported with fully equipped company vehicles

Benefits

Competitive Salary ($140K–$170K for full-time, 40 hours per week + on-call requirements. Salary based on skillset and experience)
