About The Position

Language Trainers is an international language training company working with freelance teachers of 99+ languages in hundreds of cities worldwide. Founded in 2004, our motto is Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere. We provide customized language training to professionals and private students for work, family, and travel purposes. We are currently looking for a Japanese Teacher for one of our clients in Mount Kisco, NY, United States. The course is a General, one-to-one format with a total of 30 hours, with each session being two hours long. The student is a beginner, aged 65 and over, and is motivated by a potential visit to Japan. The schedule is flexible, once per week, with availability on Monday-Friday after 4:15 PM, or anytime on Saturday/Sunday. The position starts on 2026-07-06.

Requirements

Be a native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter.
Have a valid work permit/visa.
Live within 20 miles of the specified location (10549, White Plains).
Submit a CV with references (if available).
Provide availability.
Provide earliest possible start date.

Responsibilities

Provide customized language training to a beginner student aged 65 and over.
Conduct one-to-one, two-hour sessions.
Adhere to a schedule of once per week, with flexibility for weekday afternoons or weekends.
Communicate availability and earliest possible start date to Language Trainers.
