About The Position

This application is designated for INTERNAL USE ONLY and should be completed solely upon instruction from the Department Chair, Dean, or Human Resources. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the subject area. Applicants must be able to teach day and evening classes, which may include classes offered at our main campus and off-site. Instructors may be required to teach the following type of courses: traditional methods (seated), online, and hybrid. The candidate must complete the mandatory SafeColleges training within 30 days of hire and annual refresher training thereafter.

Requirements

• Meet the faculty qualifications as defined by Wayne Community College.
• All certifications and/or post-secondary credentials must be from a regionally accredited institution and submitted to Human Resources within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software.
• Must be a self-starter, a team player, and possess the ability to work well with others.
• Submit to a criminal background check if selected for employment.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is desired.
