Adjunct Instructor- Communication
About The Position
Jamestown Community College (JCC), a SUNY institution, is seeking candidates to teach Communication courses for potential part-time openings in upcoming semesters (spring, fall, summer) on the Jamestown Campus. JCC is an innovative, open-access institution committed to meeting regional educational needs and embracing inclusivity. This is a pool posting, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with applicants contacted as needed. Courses include Introduction to Communication (online), Media Writing (in person or via Zoom), and Public Speaking (in person). Class times and course coverage will vary by semester.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Communication or a closely related field
- Experience with online instruction and learning management systems (for online courses)
- Professional experience in media writing or related fields (for Media Writing course)

- College-level teaching experience

Benefits
- Pay is determined by a set salary matrix coinciding with the highest level of education obtained and the greater of either directly related experience or number of credit hours of teaching experience accumulated. Range is $860-$1153 per credit hour.
