About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking passionate Language Arts Instructors for the academic year 2026-2027. This part-time, in-person role involves teaching advanced students in small, engaging classes using company-created curriculum. The instructor will foster critical thinking, a love for learning, and build relationships with students and families.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring students.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be able to commute to the Johns Creek, GA campus.
  • Must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
  • Minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
  • Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach company-created curriculum and materials to small classes of advanced students in language arts.
  • Actively involve students in each class for student-led learning.
  • Expertly manage classrooms of up to 16 students.
  • Grade tests and provide feedback to students.
  • Connect with students and families to impact their educational journey.
  • Encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts.
