About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking passionate Language Arts Instructors for the academic year 2026-2027. This part-time, in-person role involves teaching advanced students in small, engaging classes using company-created curriculum. The instructor will foster critical thinking, a love for learning, and build relationships with students and families.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
Experience teaching or tutoring students.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Must be able to commute to the Johns Creek, GA campus.
Must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
Minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach company-created curriculum and materials to small classes of advanced students in language arts.
Actively involve students in each class for student-led learning.
Expertly manage classrooms of up to 16 students.
Grade tests and provide feedback to students.
Connect with students and families to impact their educational journey.
Encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts.
