About The Position

Unique Industries is seeking first-shift Lane Verifiers to work in its Blairs, Virginia warehouse. The Lane Verifier keeps conveyor lanes empty by scanning, palletizing, and stacking cartons for shipment. The role includes staging pallets, scanning pallet and carton barcodes, stacking cartons safely, and ensuring pallet identification tags are properly placed and initialed. Requirements

Ability to prioritize, multitask, and report discrepancies to a supervisor.
Knowledge of how to use a pallet jack and an automated stretch wrap machine.
Ability to communicate with management and coworkers to meet departmental goals.
Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
Ability to perform basic math.

Nice To Haves

Continued education is preferred.
Three months of prior experience and/or training in a distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience with RF scanners is preferred.
Shipping or dock experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Stage empty pallets at the assigned conveyor lane.
Use an RF scanner daily to scan the Pallet ID, lane barcode, and case barcodes.
Stack scanned cartons onto the staged pallet, placing heavier cartons on the bottom and keeping stacks no taller than 77 inches.
Immediately notify the lane conductor of incorrect items coming down the conveyor.
Maintain a professional manner and constructive working relationships with others.
Commit to company-wide quality and safety.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Properly place and initial pallet ID tags for every pallet.
