About The Position

The Lane Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operations of the auction lanes, ensuring vehicle movement, and coordinating with auctioneers, Lane Assistants, and other team members. This role manages lane assignments, coordinates vehicle placements, and ensures communication and workflow within the auction lanes.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
2-3 years’ experience in the car auction industry or related role.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with auctioneers, buyers, sellers, and other staff members.
Attention to detail and ability to accurately verify and record vehicle information.
Familiarity with auction procedures, terminology, and documentation.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to work in auction lot setting, including moving for most of the day.
Able to lift, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. for various needs.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the assignment of vehicles to specific auction lanes, ensuring optimal vehicle flow and organization.
Collaborate with auctioneers, Lane Assistants, and other staff members to ensure smooth operations within the auction lanes.
Oversee the placement and movement of vehicles, coordinating with lane assistants to ensure efficient flow and visibility.
Provide guidance and support to Lane Assistants, answering questions, addressing issues, and resolving conflicts as needed.
Verify and record vehicle information, including VIN numbers, mileage, and condition reports, to maintain accurate records throughout the auction process.
Communicate effectively with auctioneers, buyers, sellers, and other staff members to facilitate a seamless auction experience and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Assist in the preparation and organization of auction paperwork, ensuring it is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor and manage the physical condition of vehicles within the auction lanes, reporting any damage or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure compliance with auction procedures, policies, and safety guidelines, taking necessary actions to maintain a secure working environment.
Provide training and guidance to new Lane Assistants, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities within the auction lanes.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
