Automotive Service Lane Coordinator
About The Position
The Automotive Service Lane Coordinator - Shuttle Driver works alongside the Service Advisers and Service Managers to help move customer vehicles from the welcome area to the technician bays. Greets customers and answers phones, in addition to providing shuttle service for customers needing transportation to and from work or home. The Service Lane Coordinator - Shuttle Driver performs routine vehicle maintenance and maintains the cleanliness of the shuttle vans. Most importantly and without exception, he or she operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Unrestricted driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Fluent English speaking and written communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Professional dress, speech, and behavior.
Responsibilities
- Move customer vehicles from the welcome area to the technician bays.
- Greet customers and answer phones.
- Provide shuttle service for customers needing transportation to and from work or home.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the shuttle vans.
- Operate vehicles within legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times.
- Check and top off fluid levels.
- Maintain tire pressure.
- Perform vehicle safety checks (visual inspection of wipers, tires, etc.).
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean condition (interior and exterior).
