About The Position

The Universal Group is seeking a hardworking and growth-oriented individual to join their Traffic Control team as a Lane Closure Technician (LCT). In this role, you will be essential in supporting the safety of fellow roadworkers, crews, and the public by safely and effectively controlling traffic. Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of BC LCT experience.
• Current TCP certification recognized by WorkSafeBC or equivalent provincial regulator.
• Drivers License with a clean driving record.
• Possession of and ability to use a smartphone with a data plan.
• Available to work Monday-Friday for different shift times.
• Comfortable with the physical demands of the LCT role, including but not limited to: Lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Standing for long periods of time uninterrupted.
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• The ability to navigate a mobile dispatch app.

Responsibilities

• Safely setting up and tearing down worksites.
• Protecting your team and clients with safety at the forefront all the time.
• Directing other TCP’s on-site.
• Filling out and signing off on pre-job paperwork, including FLRA’s and TMP’s.
• Communicating clearly with drivers, crews on-site and fellow traffic control personnel.
