About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efforts of the landscaping team to ensure high-quality maintenance and landscaping services. Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is one of the largest employers in the region; with the mission to empower those with disadvantages and disabilities to improve their quality of life. We employ over 600 associates just in our retail stores alone. GESMV also offers over 40 programs and services to the community ranging from job readiness programs to assistive technology services. Requirements

  • Previous landscape/lawn care experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to landscaping operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedural manuals.
  • Ability to handle operational challenges calmly and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver record.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the daily activities of the landscaping team.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Plan and schedule landscaping projects, including mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, and trimming.
  • Allocate resources and assign tasks to team members.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust as needed.
  • Operate and oversee the use of vehicles and powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
  • Ensure regular maintenance and minor repairs of equipment.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Address any issues or deficiencies promptly.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality services.
  • Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required.
  • Enforce compliance with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to CARF, HIPAA, the Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director, Field Operations.
  • Supervise a team of landscaping associates.
