About The Position

The Seasonal Main Clubhouse Landscaper is a hardworking team player, open to learning. They will assist the Main Club Grounds Maintenance staff with day-to-day demands, ensuring that The Tuxedo Club Main Clubhouse and Grounds appearance is always presentable and in its best condition for our Members and Guests. The Grounds Maintenance staff are also responsible for operating equipment safely and responsibly. Working outdoors and operating landscaping equipment is also a requirement of this position.

Requirements

Must be able to work April 1st thru December 1st (flexible for the right candidate)
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and /or hear
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at a time
Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury

Responsibilities

Maintain the Main Club grounds including: Mowing, watering plant material, string trimming, weeding, backpack blowing, etc.
Assist in the preparation of the campus for weddings and special events
Monitor and address any potential hazards on the campus
Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of other landscape areas on the property
Ensure that all safety protocols are followed
Perform any and all maintenance tasks set forth by the Director of Agronomy or Superintendents
Attend and participate in safety training seminars when scheduled
Operate small equipment: blowers, trimmers, etc.
Operate golf carts safely and efficiently
Use provided Protective equipment when necessary (ear plugs, dust masks, gloves, etc.)
Operate larger equipment after training has been performed and executed
