About The Position
Join the Walmart Home Office Landscape Mow Team as a Landscape Spray Technician, where you’ll help maintain the health and appearance of the Walmart Campus. Enjoy working outdoors with a collaborative team to create a safe, attractive environment for associates and the community. We’re looking for a licensed professional with 3-5 years of experience in turf and ornamental spraying, skilled in both stand-on and backpack applications, and adept at diagnosing and treating turfgrass, plant, and tree health issues. You’ll also participate in all mow crew activities.
Requirements
- Licensed Operator with 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape spraying (turf and ornamental).
- Proficient in stand-on and backpack sprayer operation, chemical application, and equipment maintenance.
- Strong ability to identify and treat turfgrass, plant, and tree diseases and pests.
- Knowledge of chemical safety protocols, regulatory compliance, documentation, and inventory management.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and respond to weather-related emergencies.
- 3-5 years of experience in landscape and grounds spray application, with a strong commitment to working outdoors in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Arkansas Department of Agriculture Non-Commercial Applicator license.
- Arkansas Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional, Landscaping/gardening industry
Responsibilities
- Apply herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides to turf, plants, and trees using stand-on and backpack sprayers, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Diagnose and address turfgrass, plant, and tree diseases and pests, recommending and executing treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical usage and inventory and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of spray equipment.
- Perform a variety of landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, mulching, pruning, aeration, topdressing, watering, and dethatching.
- Operate and care for landscape machinery such as ride-on mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and edgers.
- Support the team by sharing expertise, promoting safety, and contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Be available for inclement weather response, including storm damage and snow/ice removal.
