About The Position

The selected candidate will function as a member of Grounds Section team assisting in the landscaping maintenance and upkeep of Keesler AFB grounds.

Requirements

• Two years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, and equipment of the ground maintenance trade.
• Knowledge of the hazards and standard safety precautions of the trade.
• Possess a valid Mississippi Driver’s License.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing similar work on a military base.

Responsibilities

• Use zero-turn riding mowers to cut grass.
• Use weed eaters and edging tools to perform grounds maintenance finishing work.
• Use chain saws, hedge trimmers, clippers and other hand tools to maintain shrubs and trees.
• Care for flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
• Perform general grounds policing for leaves, litter, and other clean up.
• Perform other related grounds upkeep duties as assigned.
