The Landscape Operations department within University Operations is seeking a Landscaper I to support the maintenance and appearance of campus grounds. This role is responsible for a variety of landscape maintenance tasks, with responsibilities subject to change based on operational needs. Requirements

Completion of 9th grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Position requires a valid class E driver’s license.
The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
May be required to participate in respiratory, medical examination and training in use of respirators.
UCF policy requires completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.

Nice To Haves

Perform landscape maintenance duties including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, and hand weeding of landscape beds in assigned zones.
Operates hand tools and landscaping equipment as needed.
Identifies and reports pest or disease issues in accordance with the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan.
Support general campus upkeep, including raking, trash collection and removal, and other related activities.
Assist with special tasks such as hauling fill dirt and debris, and watering trees and turf in non-irrigated areas.
Perform basic equipment maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and checking fluid levels; report equipment repair needs to the supervisor.
