About The Position
Under the direction of a Chef III-Whistling Straits, operate any equipment and perform any tasks assigned within the scope of the department responsibilities as it relates to gardening. This is a seasonal, part-time position with shifts varying between 5:00 am and 8:00 pm.
Requirements
- Ability to operate and maintain basic gardening equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice To Haves
- High School education preferred
- Basic knowledge of plants and their care preferred
Responsibilities
- Tend a newly developed fruit, vegetable and herb garden that will produce food items to be served to guests within hours of harvest
- Soil preparation, planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting
- Operate small, medium and large sized equipment as directed to accomplish job assignments
- Observe all written standard operating procedures to provide a safe working environment for self, other associates, guests and the general public.
- Assist in special projects when assigned.
- Perform any other work assigned by Whistling Straits Culinary or WS Landscape Services.
