About The Position

In this hands-on role, you'll help maintain North Idaho College's lawns, trees, gardens, irrigation systems, and outdoor spaces, creating a safe, welcoming, and attractive campus for students, employees, and visitors year-round.

You'll perform a wide variety of landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, edging, planting, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, and seasonal cleanup. You'll also install, troubleshoot, repair, and program irrigation systems to ensure healthy landscapes and efficient water use. In addition to operating a variety of equipment, you'll assist with campus improvement projects, outdoor repairs, event setup, and winter snow and ice removal. This role offers the opportunity to apply technical skills while seeing the results of your work every day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of two years of full-time related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance and irrigation installation, repair, and scheduling.
• Takes pride in quality workmanship and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.
• Communicates effectively.
• Comfortable using computers.
• Can read, write, and speak English.
• Dependable.
• Enjoys working as part of a team.
