About The Position

Maxalea is hiring a dependable, hardworking Landscape Technician I to maintain residential and commercial properties throughout the Baltimore area. The hands-on role involves working alongside an experienced crew on lawn care, landscape maintenance, planting, and seasonal cleanup. Training is provided for people who are new to the industry. The position is full-time and hourly, with pay of $20–$25. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs; the description outlines the general nature and level of work performed.

Requirements

• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work outdoors.
• Able to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Available for early start times, overtime, or weekend shifts as needed.
• Able to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; heavier lifting is team-assisted or reasonably accommodated.
• Comfortable working on uneven terrain and safely operating landscaping equipment.
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

• Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns using commercial landscaping equipment.
• Perform planting, mulching, weeding, watering, and soil preparation.
• Assist with pruning shrubs, small trees, and plants.
• Complete seasonal cleanups, leaf removal, and general property maintenance.
• Operate landscaping tools such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
• Load, unload, clean, and organize equipment and materials.
• Work with the Crew Leader and teammates to complete daily assignments safely and efficiently.
• Follow company safety procedures and use required protective equipment.
