About The Position

The Landscape Specialist – Irrigation maintains and enhances irrigation systems across the resort’s hotel, club, and residential properties. The role troubleshoots, repairs, programs, and optimizes irrigation infrastructure to support healthy landscapes, water conservation, and the resort’s quality standards. It involves hands-on work, problem solving, and contributing to the beauty and functionality of the resort.

Requirements

Legal authorization to work in the United States.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of landscape irrigation experience.
Strong knowledge of commercial and residential irrigation systems.
Experience with irrigation controllers, valves, hydraulics, and system diagnostics.
Ability to read irrigation plans, specifications, and technical documents.
Experience with trenching, pipe fitting, manifold construction, and PVC repairs.
Valid Hawaii Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork and guest service excellence.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems throughout the resort property.
Install and repair mainlines, lateral lines, valves, manifolds, sprinkler heads, and drip irrigation systems.
Program, monitor, and troubleshoot irrigation controllers and related automation systems.
Use wire locators and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve irrigation issues.
Support water conservation initiatives by optimizing irrigation performance and efficiency.
Monitor system installations and repairs to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Maintain inventory of irrigation components and supplies.
Complete work orders, documentation, and preventative maintenance records accurately.
Safely operate department vehicles, equipment, and tools while maintaining a safe work environment.
