About The Position

Ryan Lawn & Tree is a growing company across four states, seeking to raise the bar in the lawn and tree care industry by hiring and retaining great people. This role involves assisting in landscape plant maintenance and landscape beds on residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities include pruning, weeding, cutbacks, and clean-ups on a regular schedule and as needed. The role also involves installing plants, maintaining planters, and performing other assigned duties. Teamwork and independent work are essential, as is professional customer interaction, communicating service processes and expectations. A general knowledge of plant maintenance practices is required, along with ongoing on-the-job training for all RYAN services and recommendations for additional services.

Requirements

2 years experience in landscape plant maintenance or related field OR a degree in horticulture or green industry field
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable).

Responsibilities

Assist in landscape plant maintenance and landscape beds on residential and commercial properties.
Pruning, weeding, cutbacks, and clean ups on a regular schedule and on call as needed.
Install plants as requested and maintain planters.
Other duties as assigned.
Work well independently as well as on a team while caring for customer properties.
Interact professionally with customers on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services.
Possess a general knowledge of plant maintenance practices.
Continue on the job training for all aspects of RYAN provided services along with recommendations for other RYAN services as needed on their property.
