Landscape Maintenance Worker $25 per hour

About The Position

This role is responsible for various landscape maintenance tasks to ensure the grounds are well-kept and visually appealing. The duties include mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding, mulching, trimming trees and shrubs, removing dead or damaged trees, planting, and watering. The worker will also monitor plant health, complete assigned work orders, and perform other related duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor. The job description notes that these duties are not exhaustive and may be expanded or changed based on business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in lawn maintenance.
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate positive/enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Must be clean, well-groomed, and have a professional appearance.
• Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position.
• Must possess an ability to work with minimal supervision and make educated ethical decisions as necessary.
• Must be able to resolve conflicts and have effective communication skills with all levels of employees and be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns.
• Weeding and mulching landscape beds.
• Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs.
• Removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees.
• Planting shrubs, flowers and trees.
• Watering gardens, lawns and landscapes.
• Monitoring and maintaining plant health.
• Completes assigned work orders and return all paperwork to Supervisor.
• Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor.
