About The Position

Terra Green is a full-service landscape company seeking a motivated individual to join their landscape maintenance team. This department is responsible for maintaining commercial and residential properties in the Charlotte region. The position involves leading a crew of 2-5 team members in providing quality landscape maintenance services. The role also includes operating power equipment such as commercial grade mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, and pruners. This is a full-time permanent position.

Requirements

1+ years of experience (2+ landscaping)
General landscape knowledge
Basic planting knowledge
Critical thinking and decision-making skills
Bilingual preferred, but not required
Ability to send pictures and emails from a device
Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions
Ability to oversee landscape maintenance in a timely fashion
Ability to load and unload equipment on to trucks
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Enjoy work outdoors
Have a good work ethic
Strong drive and will to succeed
Have a teamwork mindset and ability to motivate others
Submit to Drug Test, Background Check
Have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate 2-5 member landscape maintenance crews while delivering high quality landscapes
Assign individual responsibilities to fellow crew members
Manage projected budgeted hours and quality standards for assigned properties
Oversee maintenance of assigned commercial and residential properties in a timely manner
Train crew members on a continuous basis
Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably
Ensure that all crew members follow safety rules and regulations at all times
Ensure the proper and safe use of applications of pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals according to safety regulations
Communicate in a timely manner with both manager and crew members
Ensure a clean and safe worksite for both employees and clients
Properly maintain assigned vehicle and equipment (both interior and exterior) to company standards
Send picture updates daily and in a timely manner to manager and corresponding Client Relationship Manager
Properly clock crew in and out using time-tracking software
