About The Position

The Bruce Company is a local, family-run landscaping company with 70 years of experience. They are seeking a Landscape Maintenance Crew Member with landscaping or Horticulture industry experience to join their Mowing or Horticulture departments. Requirements

Previous experience with or ability to learn effective landscaping skills and techniques.
A valid Driver’s License is required.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating basic landscape equipment (Mowers, Trimmers, Edgers) is helpful but not required.
Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and other landscape products is helpful but not required.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks including planting, flower care, string trimming, pruning, mowing, edging, mulching, weeding, chemical application, and trash pickup.
Take direction from the crew leader and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Assist in the training of co-workers.
Uphold and set the standards for a quality company image that encourages repeat business.
Emphasize the importance of customer service to coworkers.
Communicate any landscape management concerns or problems to the Crew Leader and effectively interact with other coworkers to function as a team.
Assist with snow removal during the winter months as business needs dictate.
Participate in equipment maintenance.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the crew leader, supervisor, and/or manager.
