General Description The Landscape Laborer plays a crucial role in transforming raw land into functional, aesthetically pleasing landscapes. Responsibilities include preparing sites for development, planting vegetation, installing irrigation systems, and maintaining landscaped areas. This position works closely with landscapers, engineers, and construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in landscaping or construction preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of plants, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for certain projects.

Responsibilities

  • Landscaping & Site Preparation:
  • Prepare and grade land for landscaping projects.
  • Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass.
  • Assist in the construction of walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape features.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
  • Install and repair irrigation systems.
  • Operate landscaping equipment and machinery, including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Team Collaboration & Project Execution:
  • Work closely with team members, engineers, and construction professionals to complete projects on time.
  • Adhere to landscape designs and specifications to ensure project accuracy.
