About The Position

The Landscape Foreman supports landscape maintenance operations at commercial, industrial, and public properties. The role involves operating commercial landscaping equipment, maintaining plant material, and keeping outdoor areas safe, clean, and visually appealing. The position is full-time and performed in person on site, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. The description refers to the work as both a Landscape Foreman position and a Landscape Laborer role.

Requirements

Two years of related experience, including managing crews.
Ability to communicate verbally with a manager and coworkers.
Experience operating commercial landscape equipment, including mowers and other gas-powered equipment.
Valid driver’s license and eligibility to be insured by the company’s carrier.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and climb, and to safely assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in weather common in Central Florida, including extreme heat and humidity.

Responsibilities

Cut turf, mow, weed, trim and edge borders, and use power equipment to blow debris.
Prune shrubs and low trees to improve their growth habit or remove damaged branches.
Plant and maintain flower beds, and apply mulch.
Pick up trash and debris.
Perform weeding by hand or with a garden hoe.
Maintain a polite, friendly, and responsive demeanor with guests and customers.
Operate commercial landscaping equipment and manage crews.
