About The Position

BAM'S Landscaping is seeking a Landscape Estimator (Salesperson) to join their team in Kensington, MD. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a passion for numbers, and experience in estimating landscape and hardscape projects while managing budgets. This role offers a blend of office and outdoor work, and the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment where precision meets creativity.

Requirements

• Experience in landscape or construction estimating (residential or commercial)
• Tech-savvy mindset – Ability to work efficiently with estimating software, AI tools, and spreadsheets
• Strong understanding of materials, labor costs, and construction methods
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, and hardscape installation
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must work in person at our Idaho Falls office (this is NOT a remote role)

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs for landscape and hardscape projects, ensuring accuracy in materials, labor, and equipment
• Review blueprints, site plans, and specifications to create detailed takeoffs
• Prepare bids and proposals that align with client budgets and project goals
• Collaborate with project managers and designers to refine estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Analyze materials and labor requirements to ensure efficiency and profitability
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to secure pricing and availability
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and confirm scope of work
