About The Position

Extreme Landscaping & Designs, LLC, a Southwest Florida landscape design and installation contractor, is seeking an experienced Landscape Crew Leader to lead landscape installation crews and assist the Landscape Superintendent with daily field operations. This position is responsible for directing crew members, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and serving as the lead employee on assigned job sites. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can work alongside the crew while maintaining productivity, organization, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in landscape installation, construction, or related field operations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read plans, layout projects, and follow project specifications.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior crew leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of landscape installation methods, equipment, irrigation systems, grading, and plant materials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise landscape installation crew members on assigned projects.
  • Ensure daily work assignments are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
  • Assist with job site setup, organization, and cleanup.
  • Read and interpret work orders, plans, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor quality of work and correct deficiencies as needed.
  • Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ensure all employees follow company policies and safety requirements.
  • Operate landscape equipment, trucks, trailers, and tools safely.
  • Track daily production and communicate project progress to the Landscape Superintendent.
  • Report equipment issues, material shortages, and job site concerns promptly.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Perform landscape installation work alongside the crew as needed.
