In this role, you will be the primary architect of site productivity and team coordination, working alongside your crew to execute complex residential and commercial projects.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of grading, drainage, and multi-scope installation (hardscape/softscape); strong understanding of OHS requirements and safe construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret site drawings; proficiency with digital field tools (e.g., Aspire, SiteDocs); expertise in operating small equipment like plate compactors and cut-off saws.
  • Minimum 2 years of landscape construction experience; physical stamina for demanding manual labor in all weather; valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Foreman in task planning and sequencing, providing hands-on coaching and technical guidance to crew members to keep the project moving efficiently.
  • Execute high-level construction tasks across all scopes, including rough and final grading, hardscape cutting and placement, and technical water feature integration.
  • Support the drainage and base preparation phases, ensuring the site is ready for layout and staking according to project drawings.
  • Safely operate and oversee the use of power tools and light equipment, ensuring daily inspections are completed and tools are secured at the end of the day.
  • Model a proactive safety culture by participating in hazard assessments (FLHAs) and ensuring all crew members are utilizing proper PPE and following OHS protocols.
  • Transition to our snow and ice management operations from November through April, maintaining a flexible schedule to ensure our clients' properties remain safe during major weather events.
