About The Position

Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. is seeking enthusiastic Landscape Construction Labourers for seasonal work in the Edmonton area. This role involves building and maintaining parks, sports fields, pathways, playgrounds, streetscapes, and outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a team that takes pride in its work. Working hours are typically 10-12 hours per day, Monday through Saturday.

Requirements

• Dependability and readiness to work every day.
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina is essential.
• Minimum Class 5 driver's license.
• Possession of a personal vehicle (public transportation is not available).
• Exceptional communication skills with fluency in English.
• Understanding of safety protocols and a "Safety First Attitude".
• CSTS 2020 certification is mandatory (may be provided).
• CSA approved steel-toed boots.
• Mobile smartphone.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in construction or landscaping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transforming parks, trails, and urban landscapes.
• Transporting and spreading topsoil.
• Planting sod, shrubs, flowers, and trees.
• Building landscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Using tools and equipment to grade, dig, and build.
• Loading and unloading materials.
• Cleaning up work areas and maintaining site safety.
• Using hand and power tools responsibly.
• Working in a team environment on community projects.
• Following safety protocols and supporting a culture of safety.
