About The Position

Through analysis, planning, and design, we create inspired landscapes that reflect context and user needs. Whether an urban park, a restored wetland, a town center, an athletic complex, a waterfront destination, or transportation facility enhancement, we make valuable contributions to the quality of life in our communities. We create opportunities from complex physical constraints and help our clients achieve their unique project goals for the design, organization, and use of space. From concept development through construction drawings and implementation, we’re the source and facilitator of creative ideas that are economically viable and environmentally responsible. This is a resume and skill-building experience for a Landscape Architecture Intern. You will work 2-3 days per week, in-person, and your responsibilities will include project research, site visits and observation reports, sketching, CAD and computer graphics production, participation in design reviews, and marketing proposal assistance – all under guidance of our Landscape Architecture team members. Stantec offers a collaborative studio work environment. Our landscape architects engage staff across multiple disciplines and are presented with project opportunities at various scales and at the local, regional, national, and international level.

Requirements

Excellent design, graphic, computer, writing, and technical skills.
Self-motivated and passionate about design.
Strong time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
The ability to work with others, as well as independently.
Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Rhino, Sketch-up, and Adobe programs is essential.
Applicants should be a current student of an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a Landscape Architecture program.
