Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Design Intern to join their Baton Rouge office for the summer of 2026. This role involves collaborating with Registered Landscape Architects on projects across the United States and internationally. Requirements

  • Seeking a professional degree in Landscape Architecture, Design, or related discipline
  • Commitment to Design Excellence
  • Interest in working at all scales of design, from regional systems to details, and all project phases
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select, and apply advanced architectural, landscape, and design methods with responsibility for project assignments including programming, design development, and coordination and production of construction documents
  • Develop and prepare construction documents, plans, and details; execute red-marked revisions
  • Evaluate and integrate engineering systems and implement code, accessibility, and zoning analyses
  • Work independently and alongside team to meet project constraints of budget and schedule
  • Develop project visualizations using 3D rendering software
  • Develop, prepare, and coordinate presentation and marketing materials
  • Collaborate with Design Staff
