About The Position

The Budd Group is seeking a Landscape Account Manager to take complete operational ownership of a large, premier 1,200-acre commercial manufacturing facility. This role involves hands-on commercial landscape management, driving exceptional quality control, executing contract fulfillment, and ensuring client satisfaction. The position requires leading and scaling operations, supervising and training personnel, managing zones and field execution, ensuring quality assurance and safety, and fostering client relations while identifying enhancement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a 2-year degree or 3+ years of progressive supervisory experience in the commercial landscape maintenance field.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (and occasionally up to 100 pounds).
  • Comfortable operating heavy equipment (spraying, bushhogging) alongside the crew when necessary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic machinery.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Complete schedule flexibility to ensure a sharp 6:00 AM arrival to open the shop and launch crews successfully.

  • Valid NC Pesticide License preferred (or willingness to operate under our branch license).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and hold accountable subcontract personnel, eventually building infrastructure and hiring an internal site crew.
  • Supervise, train, and conduct performance reviews for field personnel.
  • Strategically break down a 300+ active acre property into organized operational zones.
  • Coordinate daily schedules, assign crews, manage tool/supply inventories, and review Quality Control Reports.
  • Act as the primary landscape operations manager on-site, conducting routine inspections.
  • Identify weeds, turf health issues, and pests, and diagnose basic equipment maintenance needs.
  • Track employee attendance and enforce safety regulations.
  • Meet regularly with site stakeholders to ensure work orders are completed efficiently.
  • Proactively identify, propose, and oversee profitable site enhancement opportunities.
