Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of survey experience required
  • Ability to work with design engineers, clients, contractors, and the general public
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience with different surveys and survey equipment.
  • Able to perform manual labor, able to carry 50+ pounds of equipment, walk across varying terrain, etc.
  • Good driving record.
  • Thorough understanding of safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

  • Perform topography, construction stakeout, as built, and control surveys using conventional and GPS survey methods.
  • Perform aerial mapping surveys using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and have a general understanding of UAV technology.
  • Proficient with Carlson and Trimble GPS systems
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of construction drawings.
  • Have a solid understanding of CAD/Carlson software.
  • Document field observations and prepare daily field reports.
  • Perform office computations for stakeout
  • Observe safe work practices.
