About The Position

The Project Surveyor will be responsible for conducting surveys, preparing maps and reports, and providing accurate data for engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surveying techniques, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. Must have a valid driver's license.

Requirements

Demonstrates a thorough understanding of surveying equipment, and techniques, including GPS, total stations, levels, and CAD and Geospatial software.
Maintains high levels of accuracy and precision in all aspects of survey work, ensuring reliable and error-free data.
Exhibits strong analytical abilities to interpret survey data and make informed decisions.
Effectively identifies and resolves issues related to land surveying, demonstrating resourcefulness and critical thinking.
Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, team members, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Works well within a team environment, contributing to collective goals and supporting colleagues as needed.
Manages time efficiently to meet project deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Adapts to changing project requirements and environments, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
Upholds high ethical standards and integrity in all professional activities.
Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
5+ plus years' industry experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel and experience with databases.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Conduct land surveys using various surveying equipment and technology, including GPS, total stations, and levels.
Prepare and maintain accurate field notes, sketches, and survey reports.
Analyze survey data to determine the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide accurate survey data for project planning and design.
Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) and Geospatial software to create detailed maps and plans.
Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Research legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to address any survey-related issues or concerns.
