About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Land Surveyor to join their talented Geospatial Data Services team. This role involves assisting with field surveys across multiple project types, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. The position also supports data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation. Additionally, the Land Surveyor will prepare right-of-way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and other survey-related documents. Collaboration with project teams is expected, along with the ability to work independently in the field. Travel may be required to support project demands. This opportunity is open to candidates residing in the St. Paul, MN area.

Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as project schedules require
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays as needed
  • MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH’s Driving Program
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with basic surveying procedures, including: Boundary and land surveys, Topographic surveys, Construction staking methods using Total Stations and GPS
  • Experience with drafting, survey computations, and interpreting plans and easement descriptions
  • Field experience using Trimble survey equipment
  • Working knowledge of: AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
