About The Position

This position supports a Surveyor while performing boundary surveys and staking. We are looking for a motivated individual who likes to be out in "the field" and is dedicated, loyal, hard-working, and gets satisfaction out of a full day's work.

Requirements

High School Diploma / GED
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift 75 lbs
Honest, Professional, Organized, Pays Attention to detail, Dependability, Thoroughness, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Safety Conscious, Strong Work Ethic, Self-driven with little or no supervision
Must have current and valid drivers license with MVR that meets Company requirements
Must be willing and able to enroll in a drug & alcohol screening and criminal background program
Driver's License and clean driving record required
Must be able to walk for long periods of time and/or operate ATV’s through a variety of terrains

Nice To Haves

6+ months experience as a Survey Assistant is preferred

Responsibilities

Check with Crew Chief for daily scope of work
Load any and all needed equipment (GPS equipment, batteries, survey equipment, safety clothing & gear)
Top off and load needed survey supplies (lath, paint, flagging spikes, red/white flags, posts & any other necessities)
Be prepared to drive to and from the job site
Set up and tear down GPS base, carry all the supplies in a lath bag, backpack or belt
Make sure to have enough water and anything else you may need throughout the day
Unload any equipment not needed
Put all batteries on chargers
Check with Crew Chief before going home
Enter time for the previous week worked
Clean the equipment (Unload and wipe down GPS, wash trucks, and clean office, bathrooms and shop areas)
Check with all Crew Chiefs to see if there is anything needing to be done
