The Land Stewardship Technician position is responsible for conducting land and habitat management activities. The Land Stewardship Technician will be responsible for helping with implementation, management, maintenance, and monitoring of WES properties managed from the Auburn office while helping other staff within the Eastern Division of WES as needed. This role does require regular travel, including overnight and extended week long stays. No two days are the same in this role. One day you may be operating tractors, installing irrigation systems, repairing fences, or managing invasive weeds. The next may involve coordinating access for contractors, troubleshooting monitoring equipment, or supporting habitat restoration projects. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and seeing the direct impact of your efforts on the land, this role offers a rewarding and dynamic work environment.
