About The Position
NV5 is seeking a full-time Land Development EI for our Cary, NC office. The EI will provide engineering design assistance and review of commercial, residential, and/or institutional land development projects including municipal water/sewer/storm water design or relocation projects.
Requirements
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- 0 to 4 years of civil/site related work experience
- Passed the FE Exam
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Must be willing to travel on occasion
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment
Nice To Haves
- EI certification a plus
- Knowledge of MicroStation/GeoPak or AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and design of land development and utility projects.
- Coordinate work with project managers, engineers, and designers.
- Remain familiar with the review procedures and permitting processes of state and local public entities.
- Utilize CAD software (either AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop or MicroStation/GeoPak) to prepare drawings.
- Correspond with clients and permit reviewers (written and verbal) under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Ensure quality control procedures are implemented.
- Complete project tasks within deadlines and work within allotted project budgets.
