About The Position

The Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure the production of high-quality products. The operator ensures that the laminating process is performed efficiently, safely and in accordance with company standards. This role involves setting up the machine, monitoring its performance, and conducting quality checks to ensure that the final product meets specifications.

Basic Troubleshooting skills and ability to perform routine machine maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
Good eyesight to inspect finished products for quality defects.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with FSSC 22000:2005, GMPs, and HACCP are preferred.
Preferred experience working in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Ensures compliance regarding Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Good Housekeeping practices for all activities.
Review production schedules, orders, and make decisions regarding resources needed to meet the timing and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to prevent production delays
Set up and operate the machine, ensuring proper settings and production specifications.
Responsible for maintaining optimal cleanliness and organization of operational areas and equipment, ensuring machinery runs efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Monitor machine performance, adjust setting as needed and make sure the laminating process runs smoothly.
Perform regular checks to ensure the machine is working properly.
Ensure products meet quality control standards and specifications by conducting visual and physical inspections.
Follow operational procedures in accordance with work instructions
Load and unload materials into the laminating machines.
Identify Quality non-conformance before laminating.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
Record inspection results and report any issues to the supervisor.
Scan and label finished product accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs to laminator as needed.
Adherent to all relevant regulations and company policies regarding equipment operation and safety standards
Perform other duties as assigned.
