About The Position

The Lamination Material Handler position is responsible for the efficient movement and storage of raw materials used in the lamination process, ensuring accurate inventory control, quality standards and safety protocols. This role ensures compliance regarding Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Good Housekeeping practices for all activities. The handler must immediately report any incidents and unsafe conditions identified in the workplace to their supervisor. Responsibilities include accurately storing and organizing the movement of materials, rolls, and PVC cores efficiently and safely, maintaining accurate inventory records of PVC cords, and properly disposing of scrap materials while maintaining a clean and organized work area. The position requires adaptability to changing priorities and workloads and is responsible for plant sanitation and monitoring action plans to maintain sound GMP’s and orderly housekeeping. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have general knowledge of packaging equipment principles and provide basic maintenance.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant equipment policies and procedures.
  • Must be knowledgeable of GMPs and HACCP.
  • Ability to use different authorized solvents.
  • Ability to read and analyze information.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Be able to read and write (Spanish or English).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
  • Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to interpret instructions effectively.
  • Need to have own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in manufacturing, preferably in flexible plastic packaging.
  • Previous experience operating pallet jack a plus.
