MI Windows and Doors is seeking Packers to join our MI Profiles team in Millersburg, PA. You must have one plus year of relevant experience in Packaging, Assembly and/or Manufacturing. POSITION SUMMARY: Lamination-Operator/Laborer is to assist the operator with machine setup. Also will cut scrap, foil and primer pads when needed. Load and unload parts from baskets and stack them on the table. Feed and cut parts going into and coming out of the machine. Follow the general instructions of the operator.

Requirements

  • One plus year of relevant experience in Packaging, Assembly and/or Manufacturing.
  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Must be able to read/write and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to compute basic math, adding, subtracting, multiplication & division.
  • Must be able to use/read a tape measure, and saws.
  • Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
  • Computer skills/knowledge of general computer operations.
  • Able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
  • Must possess a valid PA driver’s license and a working telephone.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to perform the essential job functions.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively communicate with co-workers.
  • Safety glasses and ear plugs are required at all times on the production floor by all team members.
  • Steel toe boots that meet ANSI requirements are required for all team members working on the production floor.
  • Proper clothing required per employee handbook.
  • Proper PPE, goggles, splash shield, gloves and apron are required when handling chemicals in Lamination.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading of parts from baskets and/or trailers.
  • Trim and Wool (bulb) parts (with correct wool/bulb in correct slot).
  • Inspect quality before and after lamination.
  • Cut scrap when needed.
  • Cut and set primer pads, ensures proper coverage for the entire run.
  • Set drive and guide wheels.
  • Read and understand lamination schedules.
  • Count parts.
  • Distinguish types and color of foils.
  • Change glue on hot melt system when needed.
  • Clean and prep glue head.
  • Set up slitter and cut foil to correct sizes.
  • Able to read and understand lamination prints.
  • Work together as a team and communicate with each other.
  • Clean up after each run and prepare for the next.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
