About The Position

Our client is a family-owned and operated company serving the Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical, and Healthcare packaging industry since 1984. The lamination helper is responsible for supporting the lamination machine operator. The schedule alternates weekly: Week 1: Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday. Week 2: Sunday/Wednesday/Thursday. The pay rate ranges from $20-$26 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of previous complex auto mechanical experience (e.g., taking cars apart, replacing engines or transmissions) OR experience with Coating Machine, Lamination Machine, or Extrusion Machine.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements up to a 16th of an inch using a ruler/tape measure.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, and maneuver very large rolls of materials weighing several hundred pounds with the use of equipment on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Must be able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lamination Operator in installing roll stock, ensuring the correct side is loaded to receive adhesive and that rolls are properly aligned side to side.
  • Mix adhesives as required, ensuring formulas are mixed according to specifications.
  • Perform viscosity checks and record results every half hour.
  • Remove full rolls when directed by the operator.
  • Monitor the startup of every roll to ensure closure.
  • Notify the operator immediately of any problems.
  • Perform housekeeping chores as directed by the operator.
