We are committed to making packaging more sustainable and accessible. We are looking for a Laminate Tube Setup Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for running quality tubes with minimal scrap, setting up and operating forming machines and tube layer packers, performing daily checks and functions to keep equipment in running condition, reading production schedules to determine orders to be run, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. The ideal candidate will have basic troubleshooting skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently. Requirements

Ability to work independently.
Computer and Quality experience preferred.
High School diploma / GED equivalent.
Basic trouble shooting skills.
Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machinery
Good organizational skills with ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to lift 50 pounds at a minimum of 15 times per shift.
Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance occasionally.
Ability to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others. Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.
Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings alarms and horns on forklifts.
Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other co-workers in other areas of the complex.
Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
Ability to climb ladders / steps.
Ability to push/pull loads of approx 50 lbs at a minimum of 10 time per day/shift.
Stereoptic vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10-12 point font at a distance of 12-18
Color vision within normal limits (according to Ishihara screen).
Able to stand/walk for 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Run quality tubes with minimal scrap.
Setup and operate forming machines
Setup and operate tube layer packer.
Perform daily checks and functions to keep the equipment in running condition.
Read a production schedule and determine orders to be run.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Remove scrap from production area
Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.
