About The Position

Under general supervision, the Lakeside Operations Specialist supports daily operations at 370 Lakeside Park by providing customer service, managing point-of-sale transactions, coordinating reservations, and assisting with programming and events. This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for park visitors while supporting operational needs across rental areas, campground facilities, and the check-in station. This role may also provide guidance to front desk attendants and assist with light maintenance tasks as needed. Normal Shift : 40 hours per week and may include shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., including weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
  • High school graduate or GED certificate.
  • Typing proficiency of 30 correct words per minute.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and carry it a reasonable distance, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 lbs.
  • First Aid and CPR/AED certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and computer application programs.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer service calls within enterprise operations and throughout the park; document responses as required.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and assist with camping and facility reservations, equipment rentals, and memberships.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as emptying trash, moving furniture, checking breakers, thawing pipes, cleaning watercraft, and setting up or taking down equipment (tables, chairs, cones, barricades).
  • Analyze situations and implement or recommend solutions to support efficient and effective operations.
  • Identify abandoned vehicles and coordinate with law enforcement as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and offering directions or information to enhance their experience.
  • Support programming and event operations, including planning, organizing, hosting, and supervising activities at 370 Lakeside Park.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with established City safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
