About The Position

The Lake Doctors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Aquatic Field Technician to treat and maintain lakes, ponds, and other bodies of water for customers in Central Florida. This role involves working independently outdoors, communicating with customers, and taking pride in one's work. The technician will be responsible for treating lake vegetation and algae, performing water testing, stocking fish, and other pond and lake services. Maintaining communication with customers such as Homeowners Associations, Management Companies, and Property Owners is crucial. The role also involves presenting a positive and professional image to help grow the business and maintaining customer records within the customer service software system. On-the-job training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret herbicide labels, operating procedures, and safety rules.
  • Good time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated individual that works well on their own.
  • Strong team player.
  • Comfortable speaking with the customers to discuss their lake and pond needs.
  • High school or equivalent (required).
  • Valid, clean Florida Driver’s License for the operations of various motor vehicles and equipment.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear all personal protection equipment needed in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in lawn service or pest control.
  • Experience in preservation and wetland maintenance.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
  • Some college helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Treating and maintaining lake vegetation and algae at established Lake Doctors accounts.
  • Performing water testing.
  • Stocking fish.
  • Other pond and lake services.
  • Maintain communication with customers such as Homeowners Associations, Management Companies and Property Owners.
  • Present a positive and professional image in the community to help grow The Lake Doctors, Inc. business.
  • Maintain customer records within customer service software system.
