As a Lake Attendant, the following specific duties include: providing excellent customer service, handling money and running the register, renting equipment (kayaks, canoes, SUPs, rowboats, PFDs) and assisting in launching rental boats, enforcing rules and regulations, routine maintenance and cleaning of boats, facilities, and grounds, issuing appropriate licenses, assisting with special events and daily record keeping. Depending on experience employees may facilitate programs (night paddles, fishing programs, environmental education programs).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to complete and maintain a NC Boater's License
  • Must be able to pass swim test
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Able to work flexible hours to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Able to perform the physical duties of the job (lifting and standing for long periods of time)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior retail experience
  • Boating/Fishing experience
  • Environmental Education knowledge / Experience
  • Previous summer camp employment experience
  • Outdoor skills (hiking, kayaking, climbing, etc.)
