About The Position

Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates care for breastfeeding mothers. Responsible to the mothers she sees to provide the most accurate up-to-date information and appropriate assistance. Also responsible for educating the health-care providers to meet the needs of breastfeeding mothers throughout the organization. Furthermore, evaluates products related to lactation and share her evaluation with others.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Louisiana.
• At least 3-5 years' experience as a maternal-child nurse with demonstrated good performance.
• Demonstrates leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• 4,000 breastfeeding consultancy practice hours.
• BSN degree or enrollment in a Bachelor's program.
• Board certification eligibility within the first year of employment.
