About The Position

The Lactation Consultant is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, directs and evaluates patient care activities occurring within her/his assigned area of demonstrated clinical expertise. The LC must have the ability to lead and motivate professional and ancillary staff to develop their breastfeeding practice, knowledge and skill base, while coordinating with other members of the health care team to ensure quality patient care. Requirements

• Graduate of Registered Nurse Program
• 3-5 years of experience
• Registered Nurse License
• BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
• NRP (AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS)
• INTERNATIONAL BOARD CERTIFIED LACTATION CONSULTANT (IBCLC)
